The Competitive Edge series is the premier educational program of the Tampa Bay Chamber. Business and professional development classes offer attendees new skill sets and a practical application for implementation in their own business. A unique class takes place six times each year.

The Competitive Edge Series classes are FREE to members of the FIT 2 Level, and FREE with benefits to members of the FIT 1 and 3 Levels.

Last year illuminated the fragile intersection of commerce and community, showing us how interconnected we are and how much we need each other to thrive. Join serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community advocate Ashley Butler for a conversation about the importance of authenticity, introspection, and community leadership for entrepreneurs and professionals.

  • Explore who you are and what you stand for in business and in life.
  • Understand how introspection and self-reflection inform authentic living.
  • Establish your own code of conduct to guide your personal and professional growth.
  • Assemble advisory councils of entrepreneurs and professionals with shared goals for cross-community success.

Ashley Butler – Ice Cold Air & Butler Automotive Management

Serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community advocate Ashley Butler builds successful businesses from the ground up and uses her personal and professional resources to empower and advance her community. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the USF, her concentration in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication paving the way for her unique and personable approach to entrepreneurship, mentorship, and community-building.

Born and raised in Tampa, Butler credits her local community and dedication to lifelong learning to her success. She has held leadership positions across professional and community-based networks. As a consistent member of the leadership team, she has served as president of BNI: Dealmakers chapter and currently sits on the board of Kitchen Table Literary Arts. Butler is a founding member of USF’s Black Leadership Network, where she contributes strategic planning and fundraising support. Each year, she hosts free, intensive Car Care Clinics through her automotive businesses and has delivered over 1000 backpacks, full of school supplies, through her annual Back 2 School Drive.
