All Chamber committees are listed below, with brief descriptions of their mission. All employees of your company are invited to participate in Chamber committees and events.

Ambassador Committee

As a key role in the Chamber’s retention plan, the Ambassador Committee serves as member relations support and assists with efforts to retain members through consistent personal interaction and involvement.

Community Outreach Committee

2020 Co-Chairs: Elser, Majesty Title & Amy Modglin, Modglin Consulting

Informs and connects the service needs of non-profit Chamber members to the members-at-large.

Membership Committee

2020 Chair: Brian Adcock, Adcock Financial Group

Assist in the strategic targeting of new members and retention of existing members by helping them identify the best avenues to maximize their Chamber membership.

Military Advisory Committee

2020 Chair: Chris Chambers, Pivotal Control, LLC

Through the Chamber’s Vision 2026 plan, the Military Advisory Committee provides Chamber members with opportunities to learn more about the military and defense industry as we foster economic vitality in the Tampa Bay region.

Policy Advisory Committee

2020 Co-Chairs: Lauren Valiente, Foley & Lardner LLP & Andrew W. Smith, Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Surveys key local constituent groups and Chambers members to identify legislative issues of high importance to the business community and provides recommendations for the annual Legislative Agendas. Monitors and keeps members regularly informed on pending legislation of business interest at the federal, state and local levels. Liaisons with elected officials representing Tampa and Hillsborough County.

Policy Council

Small Business of the Year Committee

2020 Chair: Brian Butler, Vistra Communications

Plans and executes the nomination and selection process of the Small Business of the Year awards and obtains sponsorships for the program.

Transportation Council

2020 Co-Chairs: David Loos, Beaux-Arts Group, & Ronald Weaver, Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A.

Women of Influence Committee

2020 Chair: Lindsay Grinstead, International Plaza and Bay Street

In addition to the annual Women of Influence Luncheon, one of the Chamber’s Signature Events, the committee plans two smaller luncheons and two evening events each year. The committee is also active in various outreach efforts, partnering with existing Chamber programs to assist with public policy initiatives, veteran employment efforts and young professional mentorship.

Workforce Development Committee

2020 Chair: Cole Robinson, Fish Window Cleaning

The Workforce Development Committee is a direct reflection of the Chamber’s strategic vision for robust workforce development programming. This will meet the needs of our membership, the Tampa Bay business community, and support economic development sustainability in our region all while serving as a catalytic leader.
