New Volunteer Leadership inducted at the 2013 Annual Meeting
Ann McKeel Ross, retired vice president of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, received the 2013 Parke Wright III Leadership Award from Leadership Tampa Alumni (LTA) at the group's annual meeting on January 22. Established in 2002, the award is presented annually to a member of LTA who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and made a significant difference in the Tampa Bay community.
Ann, a graduate of LT '82, has played an active role in the founding of the Gasparilla Sidewalk Art Festival (now known as the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts) and the world-renowned University of South Florida (USF) GraphicStudio. At the inception of the USF GraphicStudio, Ann not only pulled together community support, but she also persuaded a group of prominent artists, both local and national, to work in residence, collaborating and producing state-of-the-art graphics that are made available to subscribers. After her many years of hard work at USF, she was promoted to the Vice President of Advancement for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
The LTA annual meeting also served as a transition to new volunteer leadership.Randi Whiddon Ruble of Panther International, LLC took over as 2013 LTA Chair. Randi is a graduate of LT '07. Special thanks to the event's annual sponsors Sabal Trust Company and A La Carte Event Pavilion.
