8:00am to 9:30am (light breakfast included)
Location: Tampa Chamber of Commerce Office
Intent of the Program.
The premise begins with Lindsey Pollak's (subject matter expert on millennials) research and therefore her assertion that millennials require a clear career path plan early on in employment and that without it, millennials leave a company in 12 to 18 months. We want to test this theory with our local businesses and millennials. If it is a plausible theory, what are millennials expecting from our local businesses in helping to plan their careers and what has been their experience when seeking companies that fulfill this expectation? From the employers perspective, has there been this expectation from millennials and how have they met it?
Expert panelists will share their experience and discuss the best practices for talent management for millennials from varying perspectives…academic career planning, business community, and young professionals (millennials).
The ideal audience for this program is anyone working in human resources and also in charge of recruiting, hiring, training, and managing the millennial workforce.
