Dr. Sandra Braham, president and CEO of Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services, Inc., was selected as the recipient of the 2019 Dottie Berger MacKinnon Woman of Influence Award, presented by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.

Sandra was named a 2018 Tampa Bay’s Businesswoman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and was honored by Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg as one of its “Five Fabulous Females” in January 2019. Tampa Bay has benefited from her leadership, vision, and integrity at the helm of Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services, a nonprofit organization that provides critical services to vulnerable populations across the state of Florida. Within the Tampa Bay region, under her direction, the organization supports thousands of individuals annually, including those experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges, refugees and survivors of torture, children at risk of abuse or neglect, unemployed, noncustodial parents, the frail and elderly, Holocaust survivors, and individuals with disabilities. Driven by the belief that there is more that binds us together than tears us apart, she leads by empowering others. She models composure, optimism, and respect in all that she does.

The Woman of Influence Award recognizes a woman whose leadership has made a positive impact in Hillsborough County.  It pays tribute to an individual who exemplifies outstanding professional values; demonstrates the ability to go above and beyond the normal expectations of a leader; and serves as an inspiration to the community. Dr. Sandra Braham received recognition during the Chamber’s 13th Annual Women of Influence Luncheon featuring Anne Geddes, world-renowned photographer, artist, and philanthropist.
