Kim DeBosier, Director of Operations at WGI, was selected as the recipient of the 2022 Dottie Berger MacKinnon Woman of Influence Award, presented by the Tampa Bay Chamber.

Kim has distinguished herself as a nationally recognized leader in her field with over 4 decades of professional civil engineering experience, with over 30 years being in the Tampa Bay area. She co-founded Bayside Engineering, Inc., a women-owned civil engineering and surveying firm based in Tampa and served as its President for 21 years before merging with another firm in 2016. In 2019 she joined WGI where she is now Director of Operations. Kim is a licensed professional engineer and has been a true pioneer in her field, the first female engineer in every office in which she has worked. Kim founded Bayside Engineering in 1995. She was the first woman ever named "Engineer of the Year" by the Florida Engineering Society in 2005, and was the first woman elected President of the American Council of Engineering Professionals.

When Kim joins an organization, she leads. She has served in numerous community and professional leadership positions, including for four years as Chair of the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority, on the Board of the Hillsborough County Metropolitan Planning Organization, and as Chair and Member of the Advisory Board at the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida. She is a member and mentor for USF Women in Leadership & Philanthropy and is a long-time leader for the Tampa Bay Chamber in a variety of capacities.

The Woman of Influence Award recognizes a woman whose leadership has made a positive impact in Hillsborough County. It pays tribute to an individual who exemplifies outstanding professional values; demonstrates the ability to go above and beyond the normal expectations of a leader; and serves as an inspiration to the community. Kim DeBosier received recognition during the Chamber’s 16th Annual Women of Influence Luncheon featuring Rhonda Kallman, Co-Founder of The Boston Beer Co. & Founder/CEO of Boston Harbor Distillery.
