Tampa, Fla. – Now through May 8th, the Tampa Bay Chamber is accepting applications for Leadership Tampa, Class of 2024. The legacy program, exclusive to the Chamber, has the distinction of being among the three oldest leadership programs in the U.S. Since 1970, LT has graduated fifty-one classes and served more than 2,500 graduates.
Keeping up with the dramatic changes occurring in the Tampa Bay region since the program’s inception 53 years ago, Leadership Tampa has remained true to its roots building a 21st century program on the foundation of intensive executive leadership development. For nearly one year, participants are introduced to major facets of the region’s economy and infrastructure. Generations of graduates have called it “the experience of a lifetime.” Among the unique experiences of each LT Class, participants receive a behind-the-scenes look into the sectors of education, tourism, military, economic development and health industries, plus a rare view into the Florida legislative process at work, the challenges and needs of first responders and local teachers gained by unique shadowing experiences.
To participate, candidates must live or work in the Tampa Bay region, and have the full support of the organization, company or corporation they represent. Only one candidate per company/organization may be considered for the leadership program catered to individuals holding administrative or supervisory authority – including C-Suite roles (CEO, COO, etc.), Vice President, Director positions and/or established entrepreneurs and business owners.
