Tampa Hoy’s Spanish language newscast on WFLA TV/WB38 featured the Chamber’s Minority Empowerment Program participant, Javier Rodriguez of Wing Boys. Reporter Vladimir Kislinger told the story of Rodriguez arriving in the U.S. during the Mariel Boatlift 43 years ago this month and now living the American Dream with help from Chamber’s MEP program. Meanwhile, the digital media website Periodico Cubano (Cuban Newspaper in English) included a compilation of Tampa news stories on Wing Boys. Included in the May 10 web story was the interview of Chamber President/CEO Bob Rohrlack with WFTS TV – the ABC affiliate in Tampa. Check it out here.
