Leadership Tampa, the nation’s third oldest program of its kind, graduated its fifty-second class. The Leadership Tampa Class of 2023 represents a wide variety of industries from across the Tampa Bay region. Its 50 members are now part of the LT legacy that, to date, has graduated more than 2,500 local business leaders.

The program, which takes nearly a year to complete, is exclusive to the Tampa Bay Chamber. Annually, the robust line-up of its program days provides mid to upper-level managers with an intense, behind the scenes look into our community’s infrastructure. Since 1970, industry experts involved with LT classes have shared insights and data in a way that’s helped build up generations of engaged leaders – leaders better equipped to address the needs of our growing economy and not just champions of industry.

The May 17, 2023, graduation of the LT Class of 2023 at the Rusty Pelican Restaurant brought together members from LT classes past and present. For Mark Colvenbach of the University of Tampa it’s that shared experience and connection with leaders across the region that makes Leadership Tampa relevant to our time. “This year’s class really dug deep to understand what makes Tampa tick and how they can positively impact the community we all love,” said Colvenbach, Class Chair of LT 2023 and graduate of LT Class of 2012. “Leadership Tampa’s 9-month journey provides class members with a unique opportunity to engage at a level most professionals in Tampa will never be able to experience. The impact of the program and this class will be incredible on this city for years to come.”

Vice Chair of LT 2023 Terrie Daniel added, “Over the past nine months, it was an incredible opportunity to get to know 50 of the most amazing leaders who are sure to leave a legacy of service to our community.” Daniel, of Cardinal Consulting Group, LLC is a graduate of LT Class of 2020 and will lead next year’s Leadership Tampa Class. “It was a wonderful opportunity to meet key leaders from all industries across Tampa and have the opportunity to share concerns and solutions to some of the city’s most pressing initiatives. This was an amazing and insightful year, and I am empowered to begin my journey as 2024 LT Chair.”

Congratulations to the Leadership Tampa Graduating Class of 2023!
