The Tampa Bay Chamber is happy to announce the Tampa Bay Chamber’s Ambassador of the Quarter for 2Q 2023 is Irene Hurst! Irene is the Director of Operations at the USF Center for Analytics and Creativity at the Muma College of Business. Irene is an active member of several area boards. In her career at USF, she has also served as director of Graduate Studies and previously served for more than 11 years as the director of USF's Small Business Development Center. She has also worked as a small business columnist and started the Women Executive Forum.

Irene has generously volunteered her time and business experience as a Chamber Ambassador for over two years. She actively engages with members at Chamber events and programs sharing her knowledge to help them make the most of their membership. Irene is especially valuable at member Ribbon Cutting events where she takes the time to talk to members and their team to learn about their business and offer insights that she draws from her broad base of experience.

Irene lives in Lutz with her husband. In her spare time, she grows everything from flowers to star fruit to habanero peppers. She generously shares the fruits of her “green thumb” with everyone, and we are always excited to see what’s growing in Irene’s garden. Congratulations Irene, we are happy to have you volunteering as a Chamber Ambassador!
