#LTAFamous: ASHLY ANDERSON - Congratulations to Leadership Tampa Alumni's Ashly Anderson for receiving The Award of Excellence from the American Institute of Architects - Tampa Bay Chapter! The Award of Excellence Recognizes a non-architect who has demonstrated outstanding support to the chapter's mission, built environment or architecture profession. This award has previously been awarded to elected officials, Mayors, and community leaders. During the November 2, 2023 award ceremony in St. Petersburg, the Leadership Tampa Class of 2023 graduate was among a select group of 21 honorees recognized for excellence in design and service to community.
Anderson, a member of the Leadership Tampa Class of 2023, is a multi-disciplinary designer and public relations expert and has served on the Board of AIA Tampa Bay since 2020. Her work with the AIA began in 2008, when she and a group of planning and design local professionals applied for and led a technical assistance panel through AIA National’s SDAT program. The effort, named “Connecting Tampa” shaped a decade of growth for the city. She then served as an expert panelist for the AIA’s Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) program in 2015. Her unique education and experience have made her a credible and influential voice in promoting good design in our community. Her work at the Tampa Downtown Partnership helped our city garner national attention and international investment. Recently, she helped support the launch of the new Center for Architecture & Design for AIA Tampa Bay.
Anderson is currently the Director of Growth at InVision Advisors, a Chamber member. Engaging with community service organizations through LT, LTA and other outreach groups, Anderson is active in the community, serving on Boards for the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts and The Tampa Foundation, which is dedicated to inspiring the community through positive public art.
