Congratulations to all our Tampa Bay Chamber Members celebrating with Ribbon Cuttings in the FIRST Quarter of 2024! Whether they were the grand opening of businesses, the expansion to a new location, or celebrating an anniversary in the Tampa Bay region, all of them are joyful occasions! A big thanks to the Chamber's Ambassadors who help make these community gatherings extra special for the business owners and employees. Now entering our eighth year of our 10-year strategic plan, Vision 2026, these ribbon cuttings are a special part of our growth!

Grow Financial Credit Union celebrates the opening of their West River store. Staffed with bilingual banking employees, this public and private initiative brings access to financial services and resources to local residents.

 

Clean Vibes Laundry is Tampa’s newest full-service laundromat, offering self-service laundry and wash dry fold! Serving Tampa Heights, they recently remodeled and installed all new, state of the art washers and dryers. During their March 25th Ribbon Cutting with Chamber staff and Ambassadors, Clean Vibes' owner & Managing Partner Jamie Sewell showed off the big load washers and ultra-fast dryers getting customers in and out in less than 1 hour!

  

The Skills Center: Making a positive impact on local youth since 2007, The Skills Center ribbon cutting on March 11 celebrated the opening of its brand-new facility. The 501c3 non-profit organization uses sports as a learning tool, teaching youth how to transfer the skills learned naturally through sports and apply them to other areas of their lives such as school, work, and community. Click here to check out the video of the construction of their new facility.

 

Accelerated Waste Solutions: After 16 years in the valet trash and junk removal business, Accelerated Waste moved into the CARE Executive Building with CARE Event Hall. The festive March 6, 2024 ribbon cutting celebrated their junk/bulk removal app, Junk Shot, while launching their franchise partner network and opportunities. Did you know that their Junk Shot app is the country's only junk removal APP developed here in Tampa! 

  

Craft Tampa: Manthey Hospitality christened the newest member of their fleet, Craft.  Craft offers a culinary and cocktail river journey with Tampa’s first fine dining river cruises. The ribbon cutting was held on March 6, 2024. 

  

InnovAge PACE Tampa: On March 4th InnovAge celebrated this opening in Tampa! It provides integrated healthcare and support services to seniors, through a personalized approach. Services include transportation, in-home care, medication management, dental care, specialty care, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, exercise, social services, meals and nutrition, socialization, recreational activities, and more. InnovAge tailors these services to each participant’s needs, developed in partnership with the senior, their loved ones, and the company’s healthcare providers. The InnovAge model empowers seniors and promotes independence and well-being.

   

MUFG, one of our newest Partner Members, is a Japanese bank, headquartered in Tokyo. They recently celebrated the grand opening of their new Tampa office, their 23rd office in the United States. MUFG selected Tampa because of our diverse base of talent, supportive business community, and because it is a place where they can positively impact their neighbors.

 

Lama Pediatric Therapy is made up of a team of experienced and compassionate therapists committed to unlocking the potential of every child. Whether it’s speech-language therapy, behavioral therapy, feeding therapy, or occupational therapy, they strive to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. GTE Financial celebrated the Grand Opening of the newest branch office in Clearwater with several members of the GTE Executive Team. They are one of the largest locally owned and operated financial institutions in the nation with convenient locations and free ATMs throughout Tampa Bay. February 24, 2024 Ribbon Cutting with the Tampa Bay Chamber. 

  

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of North Tampa celebrated the addition of their new wing that will enable them to take care of an additional 21 patients at this facility, providing acute care rehabilitation therapies. February 29, 2024 Leap Day Ribbon Cutting with the Tampa Bay Chamber.

On February 2nd, Top Shelf Sports Lounge opened its doors in downtown Tampa! Top Shelf Sports Lounge is an upscale establishment located on the first floor of the Truist building in the heart of downtown Tampa. Featuring a scratch kitchen and over 30 TV's, Top Shelf combines culinary craftsmanship with the thrill of an elevated sports viewing experience. From catering and private events, to business lunches and happy hours with family and friends, Top Shelf's unique and versatile concept is the perfect place to celebrate all of life's victories.

 

On January 11, 2024, the newest Empath Life Center in Tampa Bay celebrated with the Tampa Bay Chamber. Employees, board members, and local leaders recently gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Empath Health's newest Adult Day Care Center and Medical Clinic in Tampa (5414 Beaumont Center Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33634). It's worth noting that Empath Health already has another location offering these services in St. Petersburg, and there's an additional one currently under construction in Bradenton. This expansion underscores Empath Health's dedication to providing crucial healthcare resources across our region.

  

On January 10, 2024, the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival celebrated its 24th year with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the University Area CDC, where civil rights activist Willie Pearl Mackey-King, who worked with Dr. Martin Luther King, delivered a powerful keynote address. The festival, founded by Dr. Samuel Wright, Sr., not only fosters diversity but also elevates community awareness of African American and African culture and history through a dynamic 10-day program, featuring events such as a business seminar, a 5K Run, an evening gala, a college & career event, and the renowned 2-day Music Festival at Curtis Hixon Park. As the largest African American cultural event in the Tampa Bay region, TBBHF continues to receive national acclaim, recognized among the Top 20 Events in the country by the Southeast Tourism Society.
