Renee Edwards’ Saturday Shoppes has undergone a whirlwind of growth this year. In the first two months of operation, the market went from a small church parking lot to Tropicana Field with over 250 vendors. Bay News 9 reporter Saundra Weathers featured Edwards' journey, who is an entrepreneur in this year's Minority Empowerment Program of the Tampa Bay Chamber. Her "Everyday Shoppes" location at Brandon Town Center Mall is her business' first first brick and mortar store. It is stocked with products from more than 44 entrepreneurs & small business owners and another 189+ are on a waiting list. “Saturday Shoppes, my goal was only for it to be just me and about 20 vendors. My first one had 64, my third one had 150, and we were at the Trop within 90 days. So, when you see the need, you just keep going," said the Chamber Member.
