The May 22, 2024 interview segment, "Navigating Mental Health in Today's Society", raised awareness of recent study findings that one in five adults live with a mental health condition. Dr. Maybank, Founder & CEO of The Almond Group, is a leadership consultant and member of the Chamber's Minority Empowerment Program, Cohort '24. When the conversation turned to children, Maybank highlighted specific actions parents can take, especially with teenagers, to address mental health issues. She advised pulling away from devices, including social media accounts, and eliminating mobile phones during meals together to spark daily conversations & face to face check-ins with your teen.
