The ribbon cutting at 1001 Water Street in Downtown Tampa included John Beacham, CEO of Toorak, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and Josh Taube of Strategic Property Partners.
Family Care Center: On April 25, Family Care Center celebrated their Grand Opening of their first location in Florida. Their new Tampa office provides comprehensive behavioral health services, including counseling, medication management and more.

Everyday Shoppes (Saturday Shoppes): On April 19, Minority Empowerment Program participant Renee Edwards, owner of the Saturday Shoppes concept in St. Petersburg, recently opened Everyday Shoppes at Brandon Town Center Mall. This is her business' first brick and mortar store stocked with products from more than 44 entrepreneurs & small business owners and another 189+ are on a waiting list.

Hotel Flor: On the evening of April 17, this Downtown Tampa landmark hotel celebrated its Grand Opening after extensive renovations as new member of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The black-tie themed ribbon cutting marked the first time many residents have been able to enjoy the major revitalization of this 100-year-old building, formerly known as the Floridan.
