In a thought-provoking session, Jason Outman, Greater Tampa REALTORS® discussed his own leadership journey, utilizing various leadership styles, showing a transformative approach over time. He emphasized the significance of participatory leadership, highlighting the importance of empowering employees to strategize and make decisions independently. Fostering autonomy not only drives innovation and organizational success but also facilitates personal and professional growth for employees. The key message was clear: empowering teams is essential for a thriving and dynamic workplace.
Jason also discussed the Greater Tampa REALTORS® association, founded in 1911, highlighting its recent merger with the Pinellas Realtor Organization and Central Pasco Realtor Organization. This merger has expanded their membership to 25,000 members and 1,100 affiliates, making them the third largest in Florida and the sixth largest realtor association in the United States. He emphasized the association’s commitment to property rights, home ownership, and fair housing. During the Q&A session, Jason addressed topics such as leadership skills, home values and affordability in the Tampa Bay area, talent development and upskilling for member agents, and lobbying efforts to pass laws that support a positive business environment while working to defeat legislation that could impede the growth of the real estate industry.
