Title: Foundation Programs Intern
Reports To: Director, Economic Inclusion
Hours and Rate: Flexible (20-40 hours per week); $17.00/hour
Duration: Flexible (3-4 months)
Location: Tampa, FL
Objective
Provides administrative and special projects support to the following programs of the Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation: Leadership Tampa (LT), Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay (ELTB), Collegiate Leaders of Tampa Bay (CLTB), Leadership Tampa Alumni (LTA), and the Minority Business Accelerator (MBA).
Responsibilities
Intern will receive guidance and supervision from designated team members, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development. Below is a comprehensive list of tasks the intern may lend assistance.
- Events: coordinate with outside vendors (photographer, AV, catering, etc.), process invoices, help with online registrations, prepare and print materials for all Foundation programs.
- Surveys: create surveys on SurveyMonkey; compile, save, and distribute results.
- Meetings: schedule meetings, prepare agendas, send reminders, record attendance, and update internal database and events calendar.
- Recruitment and Application Process: process applications, coordinate interviews, and support onboarding process for Minority Business Accelerator. Process applications for ELTB Aspire program, and support recruitment efforts for CLTB.
- Assist with membership processing/outreach emails, as well as end-of-year tasks for Leadership programs.
- Other administrative duties as needed.
- Based on interest, special project support may include:
- Coordinating design and content of MBA Directory
- Tracking Chamber and community engagement of MBA companies
- Researching potential sponsors for Foundation programs
- Updating ELTB Expense Report
- Conducting membership audit for LTA
- Support outreach and data gathering for CLTB Impact Report
- Social Media creation and posting for all Leadership programs
- May be asked to provide administrative support to the Chamber’s Workforce Development
Specifications
- High school diploma required. Applicants currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program are preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with database management preferred.

- Exhibits a desire for continual learning and professional growth, taking initiative towards acquiring new skills and expanding knowledge.
