Here’s an update to our last spotlight with Chamber Member  Highwoods Properties. Senior Vice President, Tampa Market Leader Dan Woodward, pointed up to the sky – 18 stories up at Midtown East in West Tampa! “Highwoods Properties and the Bromley Companies recently celebrated the topping out of Midtown East. At 18 stories tall, it not only earns the title of tallest building in Westshore but also stands as a beacon of innovation and sustainability,” said Woodward.

This 430,000 square-foot Class A office building will be the future headquarters of Tampa Electric Company and Peoples Gas, which will occupy more than half of the high-rise with 290,000 square feet of office space. Another 20,000 square feet will be home to the international staffing firm, Insight Global. Among the floors with space still available for pre-lease are 10 – 15.

Asked what the Highwoods team considered most unique about this Midtown project, Woodward said it’s The Conservatory on the first floor. “Designed to inspire connectivity for our customers, this artfully crafted collaboration space welcomes inspiration with plush seating, breakout meeting rooms, a state-of-the-art podcast studio, and coworking areas,” explained Woodward. How much conservatory space are we talking about? 2,000 square feet!

“Every corner of Midtown East was built with our community in mind. Together with the Bromley Companies, we aim to provide a modern space where business strength meets quality of life. Our goal is to enhance your business and your workday with innovation and an unparalleled customer experience. Between the building amenities we are introducing and our dedicated on-site management team, we want to make a positive impact on your workplace. Midtown East is where talent is not only supported but inspired to achieve excellence,” said Woodward.
