Title: Creative Services Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Senior Director, Strategic Branding, Marketing & Communications
Objective
Demonstrates extensive understanding of print and digital design and website management and their relationships to visually enhancing the Tampa Bay Chamber’s business brand.
Responsibilities
- Creation of event collateral for all Chamber departments and events.
- Design layout for digital and print publications, and capable with editing / integrating photographs, artworks, graphics and branding.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of best practices for all collateral, including print documents, social media graphics, website images, email marketing, highway billboards, event signage, presentations, and media advertisement.
- Possess a strong knowledge of website responsive design best practices, content strategy and updating the Chamber website via a content-management systems (CMS).
- Coordinate with staff and third-party CMS service for troubleshooting website issues.
- Serve as project manager for Creative Services requests and projects involving the Communications & Marketing department.
- Produce visual solutions to communication problems by analyzing the condition and finding the most appropriate means of delivering a message.
- Assist with writing and content creation as needed.
- Work cooperatively and positively with all Chamber staff members and volunteers to promote an environment of excellence and teamwork.
- Document all work processes and procedures thoroughly and accurately.
- Manage vendor relationships as needed.
- Responsible for producing photography and video for Chamber website, and social media outlets, including event footage and member testimonials.
- Ensure that photos/video are captured at Chamber events, in conjunction with the Senior Director and Events & Marketing Managers.
- Manage multimedia aspects for various recurring department-specific campaigns.
- Assist with design and integration of forms for electronic distribution/collection.
- Work with Communications personnel to develop and manage website content strategy and assist with other marketing media strategies.
- Other tasks as requested.
Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in graphic design, web content management, communications or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design.
- Experience managing projects across departments and ability to learn and configure project management protocols/systems (e.g. Basecamp).
- Experience directly interacting with internal and external “clients” either internal or external while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Expert knowledge of print, poster/signage, magazine and multi-page layouts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude focusing on team work.
- Must conduct yourself in a professional manner.
- Must have excellent customer relations’ skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
Required Software Proficiencies
- Adobe Creative Suite, especially:
- Photoshop
- InDesign
- Illustrator
- Microsoft 365, especially:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- MacOS
Additional experience/knowledge that is preferred:
- Video editing software experience (including but not limited to Premiere Pro)
- Basecamp 3
- Familiarity with HTML & CSS
- Experience reading website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
Relationships/Accountabilities
- Accountable for all design content of all Chamber publications – includes design, layout and editing.
- Works with a variety of Chamber staff on event program design and execution.
- Works cooperatively and positively with all Chamber staff members, volunteers and members to promote an environment of excellence, dignity, respect and teamwork.
