Are you tired of complaining how the region’s shortage of affordable housing is impacting your ability to recruit and retain employees, and nothing gets done? The Greater Tampa REALTORS association is taking action to change that. They've contracted research experts to conduct a 7-month housing needs assessment of Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties. This survey is for area employers to provide input on key questions about the region's workforce housing crisis.

It takes only 5 minutes to complete and the results are expected to provide an unprecedented look at pain points, including costs, availability and rental rates - creating more resources and analysis to fuel efforts to increase workforce housing. Respondents will not be identified and the results will establish the relationship between employment and housing.

The Tampa Regional Housing Needs Assessment Employer Survey is being conducted by the experts at Bowen National Research, retained by the Greater Tampa REALTORS association, the Pinellas REALTOR Organization & Central Pasco REALTOR Organization.

"As part of the study, it is vital that we obtain employers feedback from the Tampa Bay region, so we can understand the challenges they are having attracting talent due to the housing supply, said Jason Outman, CEO of the association. "The survey will take employers less than 5 minutes to complete, and we are making the final product available to anyone that wants a copy, from the city/county government, EDC, Chamber, local businesses and so on."

The Greater Tampa REALTORS association has nearly 18,000 realtor members, 350 affiliate members - serving as the voice for real estate industry professionals in Hillsborough and East Pasco counties. The association has been a proud member of the Tampa Bay Chamber since 1963.
