An important message from VISIT TAMPA BAY - which is partnering with FEEDING TAMPA BAY and UNITED WAY SUNCOAST to engage in specific hurricane relief and recovery efforts. Proud of our Chamber Member Companies serving the region in its time of need - as they have for decades. Visit Tampa Bay has been a Chamber Member since 1986. United Way Suncoast has been a member company since 1992. Feeding Tampa Bay has been a member since 2018. See official message below from the team at Visit Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay faced a test with the one-two punch of recent storms, but our community’s strength and resilience have us quickly returning to normal.

We’re delighted to see most of our partners are back up and running with minimal disruption, and our tourism assets and infrastructure are fully open aside from one pre-existing closure. Our marketing and sales team are working tirelessly to bring business back to Tampa Bay. We have two media FAMs in town this week, have hosted a convention site visit and on Friday the National Association of Home Care and Hospice, our first large convention since the storms, moves into TCC. Paid advertising and conversion campaigns will be back on Monday and we are investing extra funding into paid campaigns to change the perception national media produced.

There are a number of ways you can assist those in need as well:

  • Feeding Tampa Bay is in need of support for its Emergency Response Volunteer Team and has a list of shifts at various locations throughout the Bay Area updated daily.
  • United Way Suncoast has a number of volunteer opportunities to aid Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) families.
  • Fat Beet Farms is hosting a community dinner in collaboration with Noble Crust Nov. 2 with proceeds supporting hurricane rehabilitation efforts and local community non-profits in the wake of the storms.
  • Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful has cleanups scheduled for Picnic Island and Al Barnes Park, Reed Park and Desoto Park, and Robles Park, as well as a Cleaning For A Cause - Breast Cancer Awareness Month event at Al Lopez Park, and a Hallo-Clean 2024: Trash and Treat event at the Lowry Park Boat Ramp. Additionally, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is seeking a volunteer electrician to replace the sub panel and breaker for their boat lift before Hallo-Clean on Oct. 31(all materials will be provided).
  • The University of South Florida Community Emergency Response Team is in need of volunteers for their Comfort and Support Hygiene Stations in Town N Country, Progress Village, Sun City Heritage Park, and at the Skyway Sports Complex.
