The Tampa Bay Chamber is wrapping up its year-long commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay, the premier leadership development program for young professionals, 21 - 35 years old. During the Emerge Annual Meeting on December 12, 2024, the highlight of the evening promises to be the announcement of this year's recipient of the Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award. Congratulations to all three finalists who've been elevated among their peers of 400+ Emerge Members! In alphabetical order, they are: Megan Keplinger of the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Mattie Velasco of Open Forum Strategy, and Cortney Young of Tampa General Hospital.
The award presentation is a tradition dating back more than a decade and recognizes young professionals whose leadership has made a positive impact on Hillsborough County. The special honor was established in 2012 in memory of Deanne Dewey Roberts. This extraordinary business leader, graduate of Leadership Tampa, and Chamber member who helped create Emerge in 2004.
