Congratulations are in order for Chamber Member Trenam Law and its Tampa -based shareholder Stephanie Lieb, just named a Fellow by the American College of Bankruptcy. Lieb will be recognized during ACB's Annual Meeting in March, when she will be officially inducted to the organization's 36th class. The prestigious status makes Lieb one of a few Florida attorneys selected by the national organization. Fellows are attorneys selected nationwide for their professional excellence and contributions to the law sector of bankruptcy and insolvency. At Trenam Law, Lieb is the co-leader of the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice group.
The American College of Bankruptcy is an honorary public service association of insolvency professionals. Membership is by invitation only, attorneys chosen on the basis of a proven record of high standards in subject matter expertise, leadership, integrity, professionalism, scholarship, as well as their service to the insolvency practice and to their communities. Fellows include business and consumer bankruptcy attorneys, judges and other government officials, corporate turnaround specialists, accountants, financial advisors, academics, and other professionals - all experts in the field of bankruptcy and insolvency in the United States and Internationally.
Lieb is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy law, a distinction held by fewer than 70 lawyers in the State of Florida. She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Mediator, mediating bankruptcy contested matters and adversary proceedings, commercial foreclosures and replevin, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, as well as general real estate litigation. In the community, Lieb has served on the Finance Committee for St. Joseph’s Hospital, as a Trustee with the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation’s board, and a Trustee with Academy of the Holy Names’ board.
Trenam law has been a Chamber Member since 1970. This marks the second time in company history that one of its team members are named an ACB Fellow. Lynn Sherman, also a shareholder in Trenam's Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights practice group, was inducted in March 2023. Receiving the news of her colleagues induction, Sherman said “Stephanie is incredibly deserving of this honor for her commitment to excellence in the practice of bankruptcy law, client and community service, and her leadership and dedication to the profession...
