As the Florida Legislative session approaches, business owners and community leaders are gearing up for what promises to be a dynamic and impactful few months. The 2025 session, beginning in March, will be crucial for setting the stage for economic growth, infrastructure development, and workforce enhancements across the state.

The Tampa Bay Chamber’s Board of Directors approved the 2025 Legislative Agenda in December and since then the Policy Council has been hard at work narrowing in on the top areas we plan to advocate for during session.

Workforce Housing
Investing in workforce housing is critical to attracting and retaining talent, supporting economic growth, and reducing traffic while improving quality of life. The Chamber supports policies and budget prioritization that facilitate development and access to workforce housing.

Property Insurance Affordability
A robust private insurance market creates a healthy, competitive environment that can attract investment. When private insurers are more active in the market, they contribute to the state’s economy by creating jobs, fostering innovation, and stimulating local economies. The Chamber supports policies that lead to a robust, private property insurance market and reduction in the burden of Citizen’s Insurance policy count.

The Chamber’s legislative agenda is centered on creating a favorable environment for businesses to thrive. By advocating for these key priorities, we aim to effect positive changes that impact workforce development and housing while maintaining the high quality of life in Tampa Bay all residents benefit from.

As the leading voice for our 1,400 members and the Tampa Bay business community, we hope you will join us to advocate for policies that will strengthen our community and shape our future.
