Today, the Glazer family, owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, announced funding to 95 local businesses throughout the Tampa Bay and West Central Florida regions impacted by the most recent hurricane season as part of the Glazer Family Small Business Fund. Following Hurricane Helene, the Glazer family donated $1 million to support local relief efforts. The family then pledged an additional $1 million on October 17 to recovery efforts following Hurricane Milton, which serves as the funding source for The Glazer Family Small Business Fund.

Round one of applications for the hurricane relief fund were submitted through eight chambers of commerce selected by the Glazers. They include our Tampa Bay Chamber, North Tampa Chamber, South Tampa Chamber, St. Petersburg Chamber, Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber, Manatee Chamber, Greater Plant City Chamber and Amplify Clearwater. Each chamber was asked to narrow the field of applicants to 15 and the Glazer Family Small Business Fund selected recipients from there. In all, 95 small businesses were selected in this first round, each receiving grants of $5,000.

“Our family has always been deeply committed to supporting the Tampa Bay community, and we recognize the profound impact that Hurricane Milton had on our small business owners,” said Darcie Glazer Kassewitz, president of the Glazer Vision Foundation. “These businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and we are proud to provide them with the resources needed to rebuild and thrive.”

Future rounds are planned to complete the distribution of $1 Million pledged by the Glazer Family Small Business Fund. This first round of recipients represents approximately $475,000 of that total amount.
