The Tampa Bay Chamber has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, provided in partnership with the College Board. The Chamber will use the funding to advance key workforce development initiatives; support business and financial literacy as core components of student success; and strengthen the region’s long-term talent pipeline.
As part of the collaboration, the Chamber will promote the College Board’s AP Business with Personal Finance course. The new course will equip high school students with essential business, financial literacy and decision-making skills, increasing access to high-quality business education.
“This grant reflects the power of strong collaboration between our business community and our education partners to strengthen Tampa Bay’s workforce,” said Bob Rohrlack, President and CEO of the Tampa Bay Chamber. “By expanding access to the AP course, we can help students build the skills, confidence, and pathways they need to pursue meaningful careers that will work to shape a stronger Tampa Bay. We are grateful for the partnership of the U.S. Chamber and the College Board as we work together to prepare the next generation of talent for the opportunities ahead.”
