Thunderbug Voted 2026 NHL Mascot of the Year
Tampa Bay’s own ThunderBug was voted the 2026 NHL Mascot of the Year, the NHL announced on Tuesday. The award recognizes excellence across innovation, community impact, social media, business growth, in-game involvement, and overall performance. This marked the first NHL Mascot of the Year Award in ThunderBug’s 33-year history.

Atlas Professional Services Completes SOC 2 Audit
Atlas Professional Services announced its successful completion of its SOC 2 examination as of August 31, 2026. Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 examination is designed for organizations of any size, regardless of industry and scope, to ensure the personal assets of their potential and existing customers are protected. SOC 2 reports are recognized globally and affirm that a company’s infrastructure, software, people, data, policies, procedures and operations have been formally reviewed.
Real Dates Launches in Tampa With a New Approach to Modern Dating
Real Dates has launched in Tampa, offering singles a more personal alternative to dating apps through curated introductions and fully planned first dates. Members complete an application, introductory interview and background check before being matched by a person rather than an algorithm, with Real Dates handling the first-date details from reservation to dinner. The company is now accepting applications for its founding Tampa membership.
