My year as Chairwoman of Leadership Tampa Alumni (LTA) taught me that none of us succeed alone. The strongest results come from partnership, generosity, and a shared belief in our mission. When I stepped into my role, I challenged my LTA cabinet to work alongside me with one guiding theme: Alignment is the Assignment. They leaned and together we strengthened LTA in meaningful ways.
We heard what our members wanted and aligned our programming and outreach with the impact they hope to make—while still honoring the traditions that make LTA feel like home. Through partnerships with the Tampa Bay Chamber and fellow Leadership programs, we expanded the Leadership Journey and created opportunities for deeper connection. Each cabinet meeting reminded me of the time, talent, and heart our volunteers bring to this community, and of our shared commitment to gaining valuable insights, growing meaningful connections, and giving back to our community.
That alignment showed up in our experiences. We spent time mentoring students at Cristo Rey Salesian High School, explored conservation and animal care at ZooTampa, and hosted our first family‑friendly LTA event at Busch Gardens. Our Chair’s Choice event, Boldly Happening at USF, was especially meaningful, highlighting the university’s momentum and the vital role it plays in preparing the next generation of Tampa Bay leaders. And of course, we proudly continued traditions like Spring Fling, Reunion, and the Holiday Party.
I am incredibly grateful to our 2025 Cabinet—LaKisha Kinsey‑Sallis, Kari Goetz, Kerry O’Reilly, Wendy Ross, Tony Thomas, Jody Thorson, Kadian Douglas, Maggie McCleland, Jamie Whitehurst, Jay Quigley, Kara Guagliardo, JL Bielon, Isaac Henderson, Sabrina G. Jackson, and Cami Gilbertini—for their dedication and leadership. None of this work would have been possible without the steady guidance and support of Senior Director of Leadership Programs, Taisha Edwin‑Williams.
Serving as your 2025 Leadership Tampa Alumni Chairwoman has been one of the great honors of my leadership journey. Thank you for trusting me, walking alongside me, and continuing to make this community so special.
Sincerely,
Grace Maseda-Sainz, LT‘19
2025 Leadership Tampa Alumni Chair

Leadership Tampa Alumni represents the pinnacle of the Chamber’s leadership journey—both an achievement and an ongoing invitation to lead, serve, and stay connected to a community we all care deeply about. Beyond their own influence, LTA members help shape Tampa Bay’s next generation of leaders by supporting incoming Leadership Tampa classes, the Emerging Leaders Program, and the Collegiate Leadership program. Each year, members serve as mentors, program chairs, and scholarship supporters, extending the leadership journey to others.
Because of your continued commitment and involvement, the Tampa Bay region continues to grow and thrive as an engaged, inclusive, and prosperous community.
As we reflect on the tenth year of the Chamber’s Vision 2026 plan, we are reminded of the power of a shared vision and purposeful leadership. Launched a decade ago, Vision 2026 has guided our efforts to strengthen the economy, develop talent, and position Tampa Bay as one of the most vibrant regions in the nation. As we enter the final year of this bold roadmap, we have an extraordinary opportunity to finish strong—while beginning to shape the next ten-year vision that will guide Tampa Bay’s future generations of business and community leaders.
Sincerely,
Bob Rohrlack, DBA, CCE
President and CEO

Leadership Tampa Alumni (LTA) brings together accomplished leaders from across Tampa Bay who share one common thread: they’ve completed the Leadership Tampa program and chose to stay connected, stay engaged, and they continue to serve our community.
That connection is built on the Leadership Tampa experience—one of the country’s longest-running leadership programs—where participants get a behind-the-scenes look at the people and industries shaping our region. Graduates walk away with sharper perspective, real relationships, and a clearer sense of how they can make a meaningful difference. LTA is where that momentum continues long after graduation.
Today, LTA is a network of 500+ members and growing, representing a wide mix of decision-makers and doers: public officials, business and nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, philanthropists, and subject-matter experts. Throughout the year, members come together to learn, build genuine relationships, and invest their time and talent back into the community we’re all proud to call home.

As Tampa continues to grow and change, it matters more than ever that we stay plugged into the issues, organizations, and leaders influencing where our community is headed. LTA makes that easy by creating year-round opportunities for alumni to step into conversations that actually matter. These experiences don’t just check a box; they bring fresh perspective, sharpen our understanding, and spotlight the decisions being made today that will shape Tampa Bay for years to come.
LTA hosted morning and evening networking events exclusively for members in 2025. Attendees were able to learn about a local business and enjoy some valuable networking time. Thank you to The Spring of Tampa Bay, the Florida Aquarium, Cigar City Brewing Taproom and Vinik Sports Group for hosting these events.
Leadership Tampa Alumni connected at the new non-residential facility of The Spring of Tampa Bay. Alumni enjoyed meaningful conversation over coffee while connecting with fellow leaders from across the Tampa Bay community in an inspiring setting.
Guests heard directly from CEO Mindy Murphy, who shared insight into The Spring’s mission and the vital programs and services the organization provides to survivors of domestic violence in Hillsborough County. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the expansive new facility, which houses The Spring’s donation center, boutique, and thrift stores—resources that directly support survivors and sustain the organization’s work.
The morning concluded with a special, behind-the-scenes opportunity to shop the boutique and thrift store before opening to the public, reinforcing how community engagement and collaboration help advance The Spring’s mission.

LTA members gathered at the Hyatt House Hotel for an insightful presentation moderated by Michael Blasco (LT ‘12), CEO of Tampa Bay Food Trucks discussing Tampa’s evolving food scene. Thank you to our speakers Lennise Germany (LT ‘24), Founder & CEO of Livy O’s Culinary Services, Helen Freund, Food & Dining Critic with the Tampa Bay Times, and Nicole Kinzel (LT ‘22), COO with Manthey Hospitality.
LTA continues the Leadership Tampa tradition of offering access to experiences and conversations you won’t find anywhere else. LTA members had an incredible experience at the Behind the Scenes event at Moffitt Cancer Center, where they got an insider’s look at one of the most innovative institutions in the Tampa Bay area. This awesome event featured a private tour and a dynamic speaker with Dr. Jhanelle Gray, Department Chair of Thoracic Oncology. Special thanks to Jamie Wilson, Vice President, Government Relations, LT’21, and Rebecca Siviglia, Assistant General Counsel, LT’26 for a memorable day.

Leadership Tampa Alumni enjoyed a dynamic morning of networking and relationship-building, connecting with fellow alumni. Thank you, Jamie Whitehurst, Annual Giving Manager, LT’24 for hosting this event.
LTA members gathered after hours at the Cigar City Brewing Taproom located at Benchmark International Arena. LTA members had a fun time connecting over great food and cocktails at the Cigar City Brewing Taproom on Thunder Alley while hearing from Travis Pelleymounter (LT '17), SVP of Ticket Sales and Services with Vinik Sports Group about what's on the horizon for Tampa Bay Lightning. This members-only networking event was a success providing a perfect way to end the day, catching up with classmates and building new connections!

LTA is all about strong leadership, lasting friendships, and lifelong impact. Alumni gathered at Tampa International Airport for an evening celebration highlighting the power of our network! Thank you to our sponsors: Tampa International Airport, Soul de Cuba Cafe, and Livy O’s Catering.
Changing things up a bit, this year’s first LTA Family Fall Fest was hosted at Busch Gardens and had a definite family-friendly vibe! Members and their families enjoyed an animal encounter, caricature artists, a picnic-style lunch, and attendees enjoyed park access after the event.

LTA members got exclusive access to the vision shaping one of Tampa Bay’s most powerful institutions, the University of South Florida. USF President, Rhea Law and USF Foundation President, Jay Stroman, shared updates on the university’s national momentum, AI innovation, and the highly anticipated on-campus stadium. Rocky even made an appearance!

Professional success, personal growth, and life fulfillment all hinge on cultivating meaningful relationships. For more than five decades, Leadership Tampa has given community leaders the chance to expand their networks and form new friendships. These connections begin with your class year and grow stronger every year through LTA participation.
The annual meeting celebrated 2025’s accomplishments and kicked off the new LTA year! We celebrated the 2024 Parke Wright III winner, Andy Mayts (LT’10), presented the 2024 “Best Class Ever” award to LT’ 23 and officially transitioned the LTA Chair from Wendy Ross (LT ‘14) to Grace Maseda-Sainz (LT ‘19).

The event highlighted the LT program's mission while fostering meaningful connections in a fun and relaxed environment.
It was a full house at the Jaeb Theater at the Straz, where LTA members gathered to reconnect and celebrate the Leadership Tampa Class of 2025. The LT Class of 2025 brings the total number of alumni to over 2,600 strong. The energy was incredible, and the evening was a true testament to the strength and spirit of our community.

The holiday season was in full swing at the Tampa Yacht & Country Club, where LTA members gathered for a festive evening of fun and food. The event was the ideal chance for reconnecting and celebrating the end of the year together. Thank you, Jill Manthey LT’21, Manthey Hospitality for your continued support.Thank you to BayCare and KCI for returning to sponsor this amazing event.

As leaders, we don’t just have the ability to make an impact—we have an obligation to. Our skills, resources, and influence should translate into a stronger Tampa Bay: a place where people can build careers, raise families, and enjoy life.
That mindset starts in your class year through your class project, when service stops being a “good idea” and becomes real work with real outcomes. And it doesn’t end at graduation. Through LTA, that commitment keeps rolling with year-round ways to plug in, support local organizations, and give back to the community we all live in, work in, and care about
With the goal of exposing Cristo Rey Tampa High School students from underserved communities to a wide array of industries and careers, LTA members shared their career journeys, showcased their professions and provided insights into their industries.

LTA members enjoyed an unforgettable day at Clearwater Marine Aquarium where they got a cool “behind-the-scenes” tour, an opportunity to volunteer with exhibits, and connect with fellow alumni.
Leadership Tampa Alumni (LTA) proudly announced Yvette Segura, LT 2016 alum and 2025 Past Collegiate Chair, as the recipient of the Parke Wright III Award during the Leadership Tampa Alumni Annual Meeting: The Homecoming Edition, presented by Baker Barrios and The CI Group.
Segura said of her Chamber experience, “I really believe that part of why I was able to be successful at USAA is because of my Leadership Tampa (LT) classmates, LT experience, the Chamber and all the Chamber has to offer.”
The Leadership Tampa program was created in 1970 under the direction of Tampa Bay Chamber Chair Parke Wright III, whose vision helped shape generations of leaders committed to the region’s growth and success. The Parke Wright III Award was established to honor his legacy and to recognize an LTA member who demonstrates exceptional leadership and is making a meaningful and lasting difference in the Tampa Bay community.
With nearly 40 years of leadership experience, Segura has demonstrated legacy of leadership within the Tampa Bay area. She shares her experience and knowledge by serving on several boards as well as mentoring young professionals and minority businesses. She is a past chair of the Tampa Bay Chamber and the incoming chair for Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay.
Segura commented on how welcoming the Tampa Bay community was in welcoming and supporting her when she moved to the area. Segura said, “People in this community who have been so endearing, and so warm and so welcoming - that’s what makes this community so special; and why I want to continue to give back; and why I want to continue to stay connected - so that I can do my part to pay it forward wherever I can.”
