Amy Martinez-Monfort is the founder and CEO of The Laundry Company, a Tampa-based brand recognized for elevating a traditional industry through fresh ideas, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to community.

A Florida native, Amy attended Florida State University before earning her law degree from the University of Florida. She began her career practicing law at Carlton Fields in Tampa, where she developed the analytical discipline and advocacy skills that would later shape her approach to business.

Amy then transitioned into National Account Management at Eli Lilly & Company, where she distinguished herself through her strategic approach to relationship-building and business development. During her time there, she earned a place in the President’s Council and achieved certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt, accomplishments that strengthened her expertise in performance improvement, operational excellence, and customer engagement.

In 2015, Amy founded Tampa Laundry Company, a full-service laundry and linen business built on clean design, exceptional service, and a memorable call to “Think Clean Thoughts.” Within three years, the Tampa Bay Chamber named the company its Startup Small Business of the Year, recognizing its rapid growth, strong brand identity, and differentiated customer experience. In 2025, the Chamber honored Amy personally as its Outstanding Small Business Leader of the Year, and the Business Observer named her one of Tampa Bay’s Top Entrepreneurs.

Amy continues to invest in her growth as a leader. She is an alumna of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses and received Credentials of Readiness in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Harvard Business School, experiences that have deepened her business acumen and sharpened her strategic vision.

Her leadership extends well beyond her own company. She served as the 2023 Chairman of the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and was appointed to the national board of the Coin Laundry Association, where she contributes to industry standards and innovation. Locally, she serves on the Executive Committee of the Tampa Bay Chamber and on the Board of Directors for Metropolitan Ministries. She is also an active committee member for Tennis on the Green, supporting the Children’s Cancer Center.

Committed to service, Amy is honored to mentor retiring Special Forces Operators through the STAR Network, helping them transition into civilian leadership roles. She speaks nationally on topics including entrepreneurship, leadership, and the business of laundry, offering a candid, practical perspective grounded in lived experience.

Amy is a parishioner and lector at Christ the King Catholic Church and serves as an event chair for the Jesuit Mother’s Club. Above all, she is most proud of her role as wife to her husband, Luis, and mother to their two children, Lexi and Luke, roles that inspire and anchor everything she does.
