
Abbye Feeley
Deputy Administrator, Development and Growth Management – City of Tampa
Abbye Feeley was appointed Director of Development and Growth Management by the City of Tampa in October 2020 and promoted to Deputy Administrator in May of 2022. Her prior experience includes over 20 years of public service as the City of Tampa’s Planning & Development Coordinator and a planner with the former Department of Community Affairs. Abbye has a strong background in both the public and private sectors having worked at Stearns Weaver Miller as Associated Director of Zoning & Planning. In her current role as Deputy Administrator of the Development and Growth Management Department, Ms. Feeley provides oversight for the following divisions:
- Architectural Review & Historic Preservation
- Construction Services
- Development Coordination
- Housing & Community Development
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Abbye has lived in Florida for the past 37 years, spending her last 22 years in Tampa. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science/Urban Planning and Master‘s Degrees in both Public Administration (MPA) and Urban and Regional Planning (MSP) with a specialization in Local Government and Comprehensive Planning from the Florida State University.
