
Alan Hill

Alan Hill is responsible for leading all corporate security and emergency management operations for the Tampa Electric Company.
With more than 30 years of experience within the law enforcement and security profession, Alan began his career at the City of Temple Terrace Police Department before transferring to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Throughout his career he worked in many diverse assignments and within progressive positions of leadership to include patrol operations, criminal investigations, training, community relations, emergency operations and special operations.
In 2018, he retired from the Sheriff's Office at the rank of Major to transition into the private sector where he joined the Tampa Electric Company as the Director of Corporate Security.
In 2021, he was promoted into a new role as the Director of Corporate Security and Emergency Management. During his tenure, Alan has been instrumental in the continued development of the TEC security and emergency management team, has facilitated the use of new all hazards and physical security measures and increased partnerships with both public and private safety partners, locally, statewide, and nationally.
Alan possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Leo University, is a graduate of the prestigious Administrative Officers Course (AOC) and the Police Executive Leadership Program at the Southern Police Institute.
He is also certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and as a Certified Homeland Protection Professional (CHPP).
He has received training in Active Shooter prevention and response from the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Administration and ASIS International.
