Aleksandra Johnston is the Deputy Director of Corporate Fellowships (East) at Hiring Our Heroes (HOH), where she leads regional strategy, employer engagement, community outreach, and program delivery for the HOH SkillBridge Program.

Before joining HOH, Aleksandra built her career in corporate communications, public relations, and marketing, with a specialization in attracting foreign direct investment into emerging markets. She spent eight years promoting emerging economies in the Caribbean, Africa, Central America, and the Middle East, working with government agencies and private-sector organizations to position their industries for global investment and long‑term economic growth.  

She joined the HOH team as a Program Manager in 2019 and today, she manages a team of Program Managers across the Eastern United States who deliver programming that equips thousands of fellows each year with the tools, mentorship, and employer access they need for a successful transition.

Aleksandra is a graduate of Smith College in Massachusetts, where she developed her early foundation in global engagement, communications, and community-centered leadership.

Based in the Tampa Bay region, Aleksandra is passionate about building strong workforce pipelines and fostering meaningful partnerships that support both service members and the employers who value their talent.
