Barbara Stubbs has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tampa Museum of Art for over six years and also serves as a member of the Foundation Board. Stubbs is a member of the Advisory Board of the College of Arts and Letters of the University of Tampa and an Executive Board Member of Town & Gown at the University of South Florida.

Stubbs is a mixed media fine artist and has exhibited in the Sydney Biennale, the Florence Biennale, Spectrum Art Fair as part of Art Basel, and the Awagami International Print Fair. She has had five solo shows and been a part of many group shows. She has participated in artist residencies in Provincetown, MA and Arusha, Tanzania. Stubbs has work in private collections in England, Japan and the United States.

Barbara Stubbs holds degrees from American University and Dartmouth College and has taught for many years in the Art Department of the University of Tampa.
