Danielle Hernandez

Danielle Hernandez is an immigration attorney who founded and manages DVH Law Group, an immigration law practice with offices in Tampa and Washington D.C. Danielle has been a licensed attorney for over a decade. Danielle has served as Assistant Chief Counsel for the Department of Homeland Security where she tried hundreds of cases on behalf of the federal government. Danielle previously worked as a political analyst for the federal government covering political and leadership updates for U.S. Policymakers in Western Europe. Danielle started her career in the World Bank Group focused on international investment arbitration. After arriving in Tampa in 2019 she worked for Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick and ultimately decided to start her own law firm focused on immigration law in Ybor City. Danielle is a proud first generation American, and proud of her Ecuadorian roots. In her free time Danielle adores spending quality time with her 5 year old son Henry.

Community

Danielle was appointed by the Mayor of Tampa to the City of Tampa's Equal Business Opportunity Advisory Committee, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Tampa Hispanic Bar Association, she is a part of the Tampa Chamber's Leadership Tampa class of 2023. Danielle serves in the Florida Bar's Grievance Committee for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County and was recently named President of the Tampa Bay Latin Chamber of Commerce.

Danielle is a proud graduate of Florida A&M College of Law, graduated in top ten percent of my class.

Danielle earned a Masters of Law degree in International Legal Studies (LL.M) from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington D.C.Danielle earned a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts/Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University.
