
Greg Olivier
Chief Credit Officer, Florida Region – Valley Bank
Greg currently serves as the Chief Credit Officer for the Florida Region of Valley Bank. In that role, he is responsible for credit risk management in the southern franchise, and leads credit process improvement for Valley as a whole. He also manages Valley’s appraisal and environmental risk management function.
Greg earned a B.S. in Geology in 1984, and an MBA in Commercial Banking and Corporate Finance in 1986, both from the University of Georgia. He has over 35 years of banking experience in both credit and lending roles at super regional, regional and community banks, often serving as Chief Credit Officer and/or Chief Risk Officer for his company. Greg started his career in Tampa, but left the region in 1997. After stops in Charlotte, Memphis and Boca Raton, he was thrilled to get the opportunity to return to Tampa in 2014.
Greg serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Chamber, and has been active in the Small Business of the Year and the Minority Business Accelerator for years. He has been married to his wife, Delane, for over 29 years and has three adult children. He enjoys time on or near the waters of Tampa Bay, eating in all the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants, old cars and scuba diving.
