
Keisha Pickett Boyd
Director of Communications, Strategy, and Community Engagement – Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority
Keisha Pickett Boyd is equipped with more than two decades of experience in journalism, public relations, event planning, marketing and community outreach. As a graduate of the illustrious Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) and the University of Phoenix, Keisha offers a diverse and multicultural background to her business partners and clients. Over the years, she’s worked on projects in various industries including entertainment, sports, education, film, non-profits, corporate and special events.
Keisha has developed a great working relationship with national news outlets, community and professional organizations, leaders and everyday citizens. She currently serves as director of communications, strategy, and community engagement for the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA). Her previous positions include director of public relations at Burrell Communications overseeing Toyota and American Red Cross; director of public relations at H&L Partners where she managed the McDonald's business in five regions; and director of communications at Bethune-Cookman University. Keisha is also an entrepreneur who opened Pickett Public Relations Group in 2003. Over the years, she has worked with several entities including Paramount Studios, Warner Brothers, Disney, YouTube, Google, Paragon Film Music, the National Bar Association, the National Football League, Urban World Wireless, Florida Department of Health, several HBCUs and many more.
Keisha is a five-time Griot Drum Journalism Award winner for her published features for BlackintheBay.com (now Black in Florida) and the Power Broker Magazine. In addition, she was also named as one Tampa Bay’s Most Influential People and named a *tbt Rising Star. Keisha is married and is the mother of one son and a furbaby. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, among other organizations.
