Margaret serves as the Smart Mobility Manager at the City of Tampa. She oversees the operation of City of Tampa’s transportation network through traffic signal technologies and right of way permitting.  It is a responsibility that she finds rewarding beyond measure.  There is an inherent satisfaction knowing the influence in operations management helps everyone get home safely. 

Margaret spent decades as a Traffic Engineer in various cities and capacities, gaining a wealth of knowledge along the way.  Her urban transportation planning, traffic operations, and pedestrian safety background, along with her collaborative nature, allows her to contribute to comprehensive solutions in getting around the city.  Knowing that transportation stiches the land use together, she sees it as our responsibility to provide safe mobility and a higher quality of life for everyone.

It is an exciting time to be a part of the City of Tampa, leading the integration of data analytics into traffic operations.  Margaret envisions the city becoming a truly SMART City that blends safety, technology, and human behavior.
