Supervisor of Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) with Hillsborough County Public Schools

Sandra Show is a Supervisor of Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) with Hillsborough County Public Schools, where she works to secure enrollment for young learners across more than 1,700 VPK seats in 112 elementary and PreK–8 schools. In this role, she supports access to high‑quality early learning opportunities and ensures strong implementation of VPK programming throughout the district.

Prior to her work with VPK, Ms. Show served as a School Readiness Supervisor in partnership with the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County. In this capacity, she and her team supported developmental screenings and evaluations for children in private child care centers and family child care homes. She also played a key role in building capacity among school readiness providers by offering high‑quality professional development, training, and coaching within child care settings.

Ms. Show brings over 30 years of experience in early childhood education, including teaching and leadership roles in kindergarten and Head Start programs. She has also held leadership positions supporting Title I, Migrant, and Head Start programs in Pasco County, and has taught at the community college level, contributing to the preparation of future early childhood professionals.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Marshall University and a Master of Education from the University of South Florida. Ms. Show has presented at local, state, and national conferences on early childhood education topics and is deeply passionate about young children, the critical importance of early brain development, and the vital role adults play in supporting children during their earliest years.

Outside of her professional work, Ms. Show enjoys spending time with family and friends and proudly cheers on her daughter as she rows for Team Tampa.
