Sarah Daniels

The Beck Group

Sarah was born and raised in The Woodlands, TX and moved to Tampa to attend The University of Tampa (UT) where she studied Entrepreneurship. While at UT, Sarah played on the NCAA women’s golf and the club soccer team as well as served as Student Body President. Upon graduation, Sarah accepted a job in our nation’s Capital, Washington DC, with the #1 general contractor in the country at the time. While in the DMV, Sarah began her career in a field engineering role, and moved into a marketing/business development role where she focused on proposal development, strategic project staffing, on-site activity tracking, owner-reporting, LEAN implementation, financial forecasting, and client management. Her time in the field was spent on high profile government projects such as The Naval Health Clinic at the United States Naval Academy and the Capitol Visitor Center Museum inside the United States Capitol. Sarah shared that facilitating the fabrication and constructability of 260+ museum exhibits was an experience she will never forget.

While working full time, Sarah went back to school and earned her Master of Science degree in Real Estate and Infrastructure from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. After earning her MS, she earned a law certificate through Cornell College of Law. Since moving back to Tampa and joining The Beck Group, Sarah is currently on site at her undergraduate alma mater, UT, working on their largest building on campus, the Grand Center. Sarah shared with us that it’s a dream getting to work on UT’s campus. If it wasn’t for the faculty, staff, and experiential learning opportunities at UT, she wouldn’t be where she is today.

Sarah shared that “knowing what I am helping build will have a direct positive impact on someone else’s life is really what keeps me going.” I understand that I’m lucky to wake up excited to go to work every singular day.

Sarah is wildly involved in our Tampa community. She adjunct teaches ENT 475, Real Estate Venturing, at the University of Tampa, serves as Vice Chair of the University of Tampa Board of Counselors, mentors more UT students than we can count, loves spending time at the cycle studio or at a museum, sings in the contemporary choir and is on the maintenance committee at her church, and recently became a licensed Florida Real Estate Agent. Lastly, Sarah shared that she has an immense interest in law so you may also find her reading about construction litigation, watching a mystery show or keeping up with high profile trials.

Per Sarah, at the end of the day there really is no shortcut for hard work. This aligns with her favorite quote by athlete and philanthropist Mia Hamm, “the vision of a champion is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion, when nobody else is looking.”
