
Shae Gee
Chief People Officer – Paragon Cyber Solutions, LLC
Shae D. Gee, MBA, Chief Master Sergeant (retired US Air Force) is transitioning to the civilian sector after having served thirty years in the United States Air Force. She was selected for the Hiring our Heroes (HOH) corporate fellowship program to start her civilian career in the industry suited to her skillset and experience level. Mrs. Gee was selectively chosen to join Paragon Cyber Solutions, LLC as their Chief People Officer (CPO). She will oversee various aspects of human resources and organizational development. Paragon Cyber Solutions is a woman, minority, veteran-owned small business based in Tampa.
Mrs. Gee retired out of MacDill Air Force Base as the Installation Command Chief (similar to CPO role). She directed work force development and operations management for over 4,300 personnel and supported close to 20,000 personnel who worked and lived on MacDill. She worked closely with 33 mission partners which included two combatant commands; United States Central Command and Special Operations Command.
In addition to a Master of Business Administration Degree in Organizational Leadership, she has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management, two associate degrees with one being in Fitness, Recreation and Services Management and the other in Instructor of Technology and Military Science. Mrs. Gee has received executive level education from the Brookings Institute, the Center for Creative Learning and Alan L. Freed Associates. She is pursuing and was chosen to be a part of Onward to Opportunity (O2O) pilot program with HOH to earn her Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification.
Mrs. Gee got her start in the Air Force as a chef and military hotel front desk clerk. She quickly rose through the ranks into leadership roles supervising and managing more and more personnel and programs. She then took on a special duty assignment as Military Training Instructor training, coaching and developing civilians into Airmen. She than transitioned into a Senior Enlisted Leader for one of the largest organizations (Force Support) over Food, Fitness, Lodging, Mortuary, Protocol, Manpower, Administration and Human Resources. Her expertise and oversight took her to the next level (Mission Support) overseeing Contracting, Communications, Logistics, Civil Engineer, Force Support, and Security Forces. Her career culminated in the role as Command Chief Master Sergeant (CPO) overseeing Flying Operations, Maintenance, Medical, Mission Support and Staff Agencies at two locations.
Less than 8 percent of women stay past twenty years of service in the Air Force, Mrs. Gee continued to serve for another ten years after that. As she rose through the ranks fewer and fewer women were present or at the table. She is a mentor and coach for many women serving to ensure they always have a seat at the table. The Tampa Community has been a key part in her transition and motivation to serve and start her career locally. She resides in Tampa with her husband.
