Straz Center
Bohnenkamp joined the Straz Center in 1997 in the ticket office, eventually joining the marketing team in 1999, becoming the chief programming and marketing officer in 2021 and chief commerce and marketing officer/executive producer in 2024. Early in her career, Bohnenkamp earned a spot on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 30 Under 30 list and a Rising Star accolade by the St. Petersburg Times’ *tbt. As the Chief Commerce and Marketing Officer, Bohnenkamp oversees ticketing and sales of all programming at the Straz from touring Broadway to children’s shows, to theater and dance, cabaret, immersive events, world music, pop acts, comedy, outdoor concerts and more. In marketing, Bohnenkamp has built and oversees the Straz’s in-house agency, directing marketing, promotions, media buying, graphics, digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, digital content curation/creation, institutional positioning, strategic communications, press, publications and media production teams to propel the Straz Center’s commercial and critical success as one of the nation’s largest performing arts centers. Morsani Hall, the opera and concert hall, consistently ranks among the top-five grossing halls under 5,000 seats in the world in Billboard, Venues Now and Pollstar charts. Bohnenkamp serves as an active participant nationally in the Independent Presenters Network, Broadway League and Performing Arts Center Consortium. In addition to her work on the executive team at the Straz, Bohnenkamp works as a professional director and actor in the Tampa Bay area’s theater scene.
