Denise Rangel
Membership Retention and Program Manager
As the Membership Retention and Program Manager, Denise leads retention efforts of existing and new members of the Tampa Bay Chamber to ensure they connect and engage with our programs and events. With a focus on building meaningful relationships, she brings strategic insight, a passion for service, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive business community.
Denise’s career experience in the non-profit industry, as a training facilitator, liaison with community boards and leaders, and bilingual skills make her a wonderful addition to the team as the Chamber enters its 8th year of Vision 2026 Strategic Plan. In prior roles, Denise has also served in Guest Services Management, Volunteer Management and Employee Relations. The Chamber currently serves more than 1,400 member companies in various industries and engages with hundreds of members serving across various committees and councils.
At the Tampa Museum of Art, Denise led the Visitor Experience Department as Team Manager, served as the Volunteer and Intern Coordinator. In addition, Denise has experience assisting with Development and Membership programming, Event Fundraising and Coordination of Staff and Volunteers.
Denise is a native Floridian and First Generation born to Mexican-Costa Rican parents. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Communications and a minor in Environmental Policy. Active in the community, Denise has served in several volunteer groups and coalitions, including the Tampa Chapter of the Citizen’s Climate Lobby (CCL) which helps preserve the delicate balance between humans and the environment. On the weekends, you can find her supporting Tampa Bay’s local businesses by indulging at her neighborhood bodegas or shopping for goodies at the Ybor City Saturday Market.
