As the Creative Services Manager, Marielis Shaní Wilkinson designs and manages all creative media for the Tampa Bay Chamber. The seasoned graphic designer creates the Chamber’s print, web, social media, marketing and event collateral, with a strong focus on detail, elevated quality, and the Chamber brand. She is also a skilled 3D and Motion Graphics Artist.
With more than 14 years of experience, she has held various creative lead roles in the healthcare industry, retail and branded environments/spaces, as well as broadcast news. Her professional career includes tenures at Restorative Care of America, Inc.; P&P Co.; Dunn & Co.; and the E.W. Scripps Company Graphics Hub. In her role at Scripps, she served as Graphic Designer & Animator to 99 television stations owned & operated by Scripps nationwide.
Among her design peers and co-workers, she’s known by her middle name Shaní. Asked about her design philosophy, she said “By configuring project management protocols and always holding the brand as hero, all assets reflect a consistent voice, highlighting the company's mission to serve our members and enhance our community by building business success."
Shaní has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation and is a sought-after consultant to build and animate 3D models, create motion graphics, design promotional content, and interactive media for advertising, broadcasting and medical companies.
Her creativity and love of learning is not limited to career. She speaks four languages – English and Spanish fluently, some French and “HTML”, as she says. The proud daughter in a military family, she calls herself a military-brat at heart – “home is both nowhere and everywhere.” Shaní enjoys being around family and friends, beach days, playing the piano, crafting, volunteering, and “geeking out” over the latest animated movie and video game.
